ZEDD:

This movie released in 1979 claims that this was based on a true story that took place in 1971, if that is true and they weren't doing some BLAIR WITCH BS then this is a interesting story to see.

The story of a chemical company's dumping killing the ruin and not only ruining the nearby fishing town but angers a normal peaceful creature that resides in the lake. I like the fact they made this giant monster head for the movie as well as the puppet. This is a good movie, not perfect but good, I wish they didn't deal so much with the villagers and the whole echo-terrorist bit they were doing which only makes things worse in the long run but as a whole it's a buried treasure.
